Study and Chat
Study and Chat, our informal study group which grew out of a Lent Group that Tricia, our lay minister led a little while ago, continues to meet once a month at St Luke’s. At present we are looking at Paul’s letter to the Galatians and have marvelled at Paul’s commitment to his calling as an apostle of Christ. Sometimes we study a book or letter in the Bible, at other times we study a theme like ‘contentment’, ‘what do we mean by the term “church”’. Whichever it is, we always start with a more unusual activity to get us thinking and talking: this might be looking at artwork, creating our own art work, a mapping activity, or a quiz. As a group we have not only learnt about the Bible but also about each other and we have come to realise we are all writing our own gospel for the Lord in what we say and think and do.
