Women's Fellowship
The group meets every second Wednesday in the month from 2.30pm – 4pm, in St Luke’s Church Hall. The cost is £5 per session. It is an opportunity for ladies of the community of all ages to come together for fellowship over refreshments and enjoy talks from invited speakers on a wide selection of topics. Recent speakers and subjects have included Queen’s Dressmaker, local wildlife rescue centre, social work, scams, working at the BBC, Hearing Dogs, Life under the Veil (living as a married woman in Iraq), flower arranging and quizzes. And the group always ends the year with a Christmas lunch locally!
Whilst the aim of the group is fellowship, we also have an annual afternoon tea which raises money for a local charity, chosen by agreement by the whole group. We have around thirty members but are always pleased to welcome new members.
